Looking for someplace unique to put roses? Live in the country and want to continue that country feel with your roses? Or, live in the city and WISH you lived in the country?

Try a rose garden in an old water trough. Normally used to supply water for cattle and horses, if you have one, or access to one that is not in use any longer, why not utilize it to promote a fragrant garden!

We worked with Edmunds Roses to find the most heat tolerant roses possible for this South Texas retreat. Firefighter, Marilyn Monroe, Rina Hugo, Moonstone & St. Patrick are all doing very well in this humid and hot climate.

We filled 1/3 of the container with rocks and pebbles and filled the rest with the dirt and roses. There are troughs of all shapes and sizes, just hit your local feed store or ranch/farm supply store for these great options for gardens. For city dwellers, check Lowe's or Home Depot for potting alternatives
